BMX Bike Talk? LOL

when I as was a kid..... my all time favorite bike was my Diamond Back Silver streak! I used to read BMX Action and BMX plus 24/7, then I upgraded to my PK Ripper Frame, then to my CW frame.. and then I ended up with my Hare Freestyle Master which after ALL THESE YEARS I still ride today with my two sons!! I actually think im gonna start collecting all these old type BMX bikes.. that would be cool... Redlines, Dynos, Raleigh, Hutch, LOL the schwinn Predator, Skywayy, Kuwahara, GT, MCS, Patterson... LOL... Damn Im old... and I know the topic said "Bike Talk" but whatever... I just wanted to jump start this thread!! (if you guys want to move this to General Discussion is fine with me).

okay.. to make this thread legit.. I got a question.. how often do you guys Lube your chain? do you guys always keep it lubed to the point where it kinda sorta looks wet.. or doy you wait until it looks like its dry? or after every wash?

okay.. stupid question #2: what do you guys use to clean your Helmet visor? just hot musty breath and your Tshirt? or you guys spray anything special on it.. or windex or so you guys spend money on those Anti-fog wipes I sometimes see?

Some people are really anal about lubing their chain. They'd lube the chains at 300-miles or so. Me, I try to keep it to around 1000-miles. They don't need a lot of lube, so just spray the outside of the chain enough for a loop then spray the inside of the chain for another loop then run the chain through a towel to wipe off the excess. Otherwise you'll get the damn wax all over the place on your swingarm, chassis, body, wheel, etc.

As far as visors go, I just use water. Don't use Windex because your visor isn't made out of glass. I try some of those anti-fog sprays but they only work good for like half a day at most.

thanks for the info there FnFalman, I do use just water on the visor.. but im bad at lubing my chain... , it was the other day that I noticed it kinda "dry".. and said Hmmm.. that doesnt look too good.. LOL.. so I made sure to lube it... I just have to make sure to do it more often so it doesnt dry up.

anyone know a good place to get some Frame sliders... I already have some.. got them when I got my bike 2 yrs ago, got the sliders off of Ebay and now a few years later.. the white sliders have cracks in the plastic (never dropped) so I figure maybe I tightened the bolts too tight back then and over time it just caused them to crack. anyone suggest somewhere with good sliders.. cause i want to replace them soon incase I ever need them.. if I drop it now.. they look like they'll fall apart before serving their intended purpose..

Can anyone suggest a place to get good Frame Sliders? I still need to get a new pair.. since my are cracking.. I figured i drop it the sliders will just crumble and not do much good.. so i gotta hurry up and get a new pair. obviously not all brands etc are made the same.

I talked to some of my friends that do ride BMX they said to buy a stolen bike, fit co, or Sunday. i looked around the internet for some and ended up on decompose. the bike I have been looking at to buy is the fitco prk1 2010.
